DEVOTION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

Mary said:"My daughter, look at My Heart surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You, at least, try to console me, and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months go to confession and receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me."

This Message was confided by Our Lord to Berthe Petit, a humble Franciscan Tertiary, born on January 23, 1870, at Enghien, Belgium:

"Teach souls to love the Heart of My Mother pierced by the very sorrows which pierced Mine." (December 25, 1909)

At the Holy Hour (March 25, 1912) the Blessed Virgin spoke thus: "I have called myself the Immaculate Conception. To you I call myself Mother of the Sorrowful Heart. This title willed by my Son is dear to me above all others. According as it is spread everywhere, there will be granted graces of mercy, spiritual renewal and salvation."

SAVE A SOUL FROM HELL IN 3 SECONDS

Every time you pray the prayer below, you will prevent a person from going to eternal damnation. You can save sixty souls from Hell in the time it takes to boil a three-minute egg.

Incredible, but true.  Such is the power of the names of Jesus and Mary.  Such is the power of Love. Many souls go to Hell because no one prays for them.  Here is the prayer:

“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls.”

THE HOLY MASS as Explained to Catalina by Jesus and Mary

Catalina Rivas of Cochabamba, Bolivia, who now dwells in Mérida, Yucatán, México. She is said to receive Messages from Jesus, Mary, and the angels. She has the approval of her Bishop, René Fernández Apaza, who has given his imprimatur to her Messages. The following text is the reproduction of booklet, “The Holy Mass,” in which Our Lord and Our Lady explain to Catalina what is really going on during the Mass in the spiritual realm, and how we should be more concentrated on the great mysteries that are taking place.
Bo. Daniel Gagnon, OMI, of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Archdiocese of Mexico, wrote about this book: “I do not find anything against the faith or the customs of the Church. It is not my function to confirm its supernatural character; nevertheless, I recommend it for its spiritual inspiration.”

The testimony of Catalina on the Holy Mass
In a marvelous catechesis, the Lord and the Virgin Mary have been instructing us first on how to pray the Rosary, that being to pray it with our hearts, and meditate and enjoy the moments when we encounter God and our Blessed Mother. They have also instructed us on the way to make a good confession and, in this document, a teaching on what happens during the Holy Mass and how to live it with our hearts.
This is the testimony that I must and want to give to the whole world, for the greater Glory of God and for the salvation of all of those who want to open their hearts to the Lord. It is also given so that many souls consecrated to God will rekindle the fire of their love for Christ, some of whom are the owners of the hands that have the power to bring Him to our world so that He can become our nourishment. It is also given for others so that they break lose of the “routine practice” of receiving Him, and relive the amazement of their daily encounter with Love. And it is given so that my lay brothers and sisters from the entire world live the greatest Miracle with their hearts: the celebration of the Eucharist.

WHY RECITE THE ROSARY?

Download the full PDF – Why Recite The Rosary

1. St. Dominic’s Advice to Recite the Rosary
There was a certain pious but self-willed lady who lived in Rome during the time of Saint Dominic. She was so devout and so fervent that she put to shame by her holy life even the strictest religious in the Church.
Having decided to ask Saint Dominic’s advice about her spiritual life, she asked him to hear her confession. For her penance, he gave her one whole Rosary to say, and advised her to say it every day. She said that she had no time to say it, excusing herself on the grounds that she made the Stations of Rome every day, that she wore sack-cloth and also a hair shirt, that she gave herself the discipline several times a week, that she carried out so many other penances and fasted so much. Saint Dominic urged her over and over again to take his advice and say the Rosary, but she would not hear of it. She left the confessional horrified at the tactics of this new spiritual director who had tried so hard to persuade her to take on a devotion that was not at all to her liking.
Later on when she was in prayer, she fell into ecstasy and had a vision of her soul appearing before Our Lord’s Judgment Seat. Saint Michael put all her penances and other prayers onto one balance of the scales, and all her sins and imperfections onto the other. The tray of her good works was greatly outweighed by that of her sins and imperfections.
Filled with terror, she cried for mercy, imploring the help of the Blessed Virgin, her glorious Advocate, who took the one and only Rosary that she had said for her penance and dropped it onto the tray of her good works. The one Rosary was so heavy that it weighed more than all her sins as well as all her good works. Our Lady then reproved her for having refused to follow the counsel of Her servant Dominic, and for not saying the Rosary every day.
As soon as she came to herself, she rushed and threw herself at the feet of Saint Dominic and told him all that had happened, begged his forgiveness for her unbelief, and promised to say the Rosary faithfully every day. By this means, she rose to Christian perfection, and finally to the glory of everlasting life.

2. Saint Gertrude’s Vision
One day, Saint Gertrude had a vision of Our Lord counting gold coins. She summoned the courage to ask Him what He was doing. He answered: “I am counting the Hail Mary’s that you have said; this is the money with which you can pay your way to Heaven.”

3. Blessed Alan de la Roche Explains her Experience
Blessed Alan de la Roche says that a nun who had always had a great devotion to the Holy Rosary appeared after death to one of her sisters in religion, and said to her: “If I were allowed to go back into my body to have the chance of saying just one single Hail Mary — even if I said it quickly and without great fervor — I would gladly go through the suffering that I had during my last illness all over again in order to gain the merit of this prayer.” This is all the more compelling because she had been bedridden and had suffered agonizing pains for several years before she died.

TESTIMONY OF FABIENNE GUERRERO: I Was in Hell - “My illumination of conscience”

The peace of Jesus be with you!

Beloved brothers and sisters, I come to witness today that Christ brought me
back to life. My parents had me baptised a few days after my birth. I followed all the catechism classes and I made my First Communion.

My mother, a holy woman, taught me to pray every night. However, after my
communion, I no longer attended the Catholic Church until 1996, on which date Jesus came to save me. I was 32 years old.

I will tell you a bit about the life that I led all those years, far from Jesus. As soon as I turned 15, my life took a reversal. I began to smoke, frequented
filthy bars, participated in card readings, practiced numerology, wrote to
astrologers. When I finished my school studies, I spent all the week-ends in
discotheques smoking hashish, drinking alcohol; I wore mini-skirts and designer clothes and, without guilty feelings, I frolicked with the men I met. I
was searching for Love with a capital L.

Satan was keeping me bound and prevented me from turning towards the love of Christ. He blinded me with what men could give me: pleasure of the flesh, money, well-being and the world. I was under his hellish bindings, but I
needed somebody to take much care of me yet I wanted to die without love.
I was suicidal and self-destructive after having sustained much wickedness in
my youth and Satan, in his cruelty, poisoned my painful wounds.

77 FRUITS OF THE HOLY MASS by Father M. von Cochem

To omit hearing Mass merely from carelessness or indolence would be proof that we were either ignorant of, or indifferent to, the divine treasures it contains. God grant that those who read this may in future appreciate more fully this pearl of great price, value it more highly, seek it more diligently.

77 Fruits of Holy Mass by Father Martin von Cochem (1625-1712)

1. For your salvation, God the Father sends his beloved Son down from heaven.
2. For your salvation, the Holy Spirit changes bread and wine into the true Body and Blood of Christ.
3. For your sake, the Son of God comes down from heaven and conceals Himself under the form of the Sacred Host.
4. He even abases Himself to such an extent as to be present in the minutest particle of the Sacred Host.
5. For your salvation, He renews the saving mystery of the Incarnation.
6. For your salvation, He is born anew into the world in a mystic manner whenever Holy Mass is celebrated.
7. For your salvation, He performs on the altar the same act of worship He performed when on earth.
8. For your salvation, He renews His bitter passion in order that you may participate in it.
9. For your salvation, He mystically renews His death, and sacrifices for you His precious life.
10. For your salvation, He sheds His blood in a mystical manner and offers it up for you to the Divine Majesty.

SINS OF DISTRUST

Human forgiveness seems to have a limit. It varies from person to person, but there is a cut-off point. For example, we can forgive people whose behaviour is intolerable and inexcusable for a while, but eventually we begin to distance ourselves.

People often take advantage of our goodness and compassion, but there comes a time when we end that relationship. Jesus advised us to “turn the other cheek”, to “give to everyone who asks of you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back” and “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you”, but we break off our friendships with disrespectful and dishonest people eventually.

HOW TO AVOID PURGATORY BY TRUST AND LOVE by St. Therese of Lisieux

The common teaching within the Church is that Purgatory can hardly be avoided. While still only a novice, the saint commented about this with one of the sisters, Sr. Maria Philomena, who believed in the near impossibility of going to Heaven without passing through Purgatory.

"You do not have enough trust. You have too much fear before the good God. I can assure you that He is grieved over this. You should not fear Purgatory because of the suffering there, but should instead ask that you not deserve to go there in order to please God, Who so reluctantly imposes this punishment. As soon as you try to please Him in everything and have an unshakable trust He purifies you every moment in His love and He lets no sin remain. And then you can be sure that you will not have to go to Purgatory".

WHAT IS EUCHARISTIC ADORATION?

“In the Sacred Host, He is present, the true treasure, always waiting for us. Only by adoring this Presence do we learn how to receive Him properly.”

What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honouring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".
During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.
In its fullest essence ... Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!"

The Eucharist is: Jesus truly present - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity!
At the moment of Consecration, during the Mass, the "gifts" of bread and wine are transformed (transubstantiated) into the actual Body and Blood of Christ, at the Altar. This means that they are not only spiritually transformed, but rather are actually (substantially) transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ. The elements retain the appearance of bread and wine, but are indeed the actual Body and Blood of Christ. This is what is meant by Real Presence: the actual, physical presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Christ instituted this Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist in order to remain with mankind until the end of time (Jn. 14:18).

THE EUCHARIST IN THE LIFE OF ST. FAUSTINA by Val Conlon

Today we are delighted to be celebrating the Feast Day of St. Faustina. She is probably one of the most under-rated saints of the modern Church. But, with Padre Pio, she is probably one of the most important people to have lived during the 20th Century. The more you get to know St. Faustina, the more you are inspired by her extraordinary character and the courageous way she dealt with the supernatural events that were happening during her short life. She died on this day 74 years ago.

FEAST OF THE ARCHANGELS - September 29

Angels were created as messengers of God. The Scriptures reveal that God created nine orders of angels: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Archangels, and Angels. The Archangels are the leaders, highest in rank. Today, September 29th, is the Feast day of the Archangels and the most popular of them are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel.

BORED AT MASS? by Fr. John Harris

Do you ever get bored at Mass or do you hear people complaining that the priest is boring? Usually when I am faced with such complaints I ask, “what do you do when you go to Mass?” This always causes a certain unease because most people don’t think they have to do anything. Not so!

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF SORROWS - September 15

THE HAIL MARY OF OUR SORROWFUL MOTHER

Hail Mary, full of sorrows, the Crucified is with thee; tearful art thou amongst women, and tearful is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of the Crucified, give tears to us, Crucifiers of  thy Son, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

AN ACT OF CONTRITION

Virgin most afflicted, how ungrateful have I been in the past to my God, in return for all His  benefits. Now, I repent in bitterness of heart, humbly asking pardon for  the offence done to His infinite goodness, and resolved
by the help of heavenly  grace to offend Him no more. Ah! by all the pains which thou didst suffer  in the cruel Passion of thy dear Jesus, I pray thee, with fervent sighs, to  obtain for me pardon and mercy for all my grievous sins. Obtain that the same sword which pierced thy soul may pierce mine also, that I may live and die  in the love of my Lord, and share eternally in that glory, which He has  purchased for me with His most Precious Blood.  Amen.

ST. FAUSTINA'S LIFE OF INTERCESSORY PRAYER

St. Faustina's Concern for Mankind
"Jesus, I have so much to tell You." And the Lord said to me with great love, Speak, My daughter. And I started to enumerate the pains of my heart; that is, how greatly concerned I am for all mankind, that "they all do not know You, and those who do know You do not love You as You deserve to be loved. I also see how terribly sinners offend You; and then again, I see how severely the faithful, especially Your servants, are oppressed and persecuted. And then, too, I see many souls rushing headlong into the terrible abyss of hell. You see, Jesus, this is the pain that gnaws at my heart and bones. And, although You show me special love and inundate my heart with streams of Your joys, nevertheless, this does not appease the sufferings I have just mentioned, but rather they penetrate my poor heart all the more acutely. Oh, how ardently I desire that all mankind would turn to trust in Your mercy. Then, seeing them glory Your name, my heart would be comforted." Jesus said, My daughter, those words of your heart are pleasing to Me, but by saying the chaplet you are always bringing mankind closer to Me. (Diary 929)

A LIVING IMAGE: The Image of Divine Mercy by Val Conlon

Image of Divine Mercy is alive

In this article I hope to convey my belief that the Divine Mercy Image is a living Image, and that this Icon of Jesus is much more than just a religious painting. This conviction is supported by many passages from the Diary.

Christ’s Revelations about the Image of Divine Mercy

In the revelation of 1934, He called the Image a “vessel” to which people should come to receive graces from the very source of God's Mercy. In the vision of December 1935, He described it as an instrument, by which He will grant graces to people in need. Therefore the Image is the most important gift Jesus has given to us in this communication from God to the world through Saint Faustina. But I believe that seeking mercy from the image of Divine Mercy without living mercy in one's own life may have the opposite effect. Jesus said: “This Image is also to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith, is of no avail without works” (742) This is also confirmed by Gospel (James 2.14) "Take the case my brothers, of someone who has never done a single good act but claims he has faith. Will that faith save him"?

THE FEAST OF MERCY By Val Conlon

The Physician
If a physician knew that with a new method available to him on one day of a year, he could heal as many people as he could gather together in one place with a serious cancerous condition, and if he was told that the procedure would only take about an hour or two at the most, and if he was told about a book of instructions that outlined the way to heal this cancer, wouldn't there be a serious onus on that physician to get hold of that book as soon as he could to study the method, in preparation for this momentous occasion? Shouldn't that physician then, find as many ways as he could, to get as many sick people to come to his place of healing on this wonderful day. Well the priest is that physician. The book is the Diary. The day is Mercy Sunday. The method is Divine Mercy.
