THE TESTIMONY OF GLORIA POLO

Gloria Polo died after being terribly burned by a lightning bolt on May 5, 1995 in Bogotá, Colombia; she was judged, and then came back to life. This is her testimony.

The title of this booklet is: “From Illusion to the Truth”. There are many people, like Gloria Polo, that are under the illusion to be OK according to their own conscience formed by their own personal criteria, or according to the criteria of the world and those around them, o according to the criteria of the devil, BUT NOT ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA OF GOD, that is, according to THE TRUTH! This is the fundamental deception of Satan from the beginning of humanity and always (Gen 3:4-5)! We human beings are truly adept and ingenious in deceiving ourselves, WILLINGLY, and then forgetting about it so easily! Popes Pius XII and John Paul II said that the greatest sin is to believe that there is no sin, to have lost the sense of sin! This is the great trap of today for countless souls. Today few people go to Mass every Sunday and among these, few go to confession regularly. I prefer to know the truth while I am still alive even if the truth is very strong to provoke in me a great uneasiness or to even cause me to enter into crisis (holy!?!?). If God offers me this great gift of the truth while I am alive, even in a brusque way like a shock (a lightning bolt!?!), I am still in time make a good confession and change my life. After death one cannot change anything for all eternity, just as for the angels one instant after their creation and eternal decision! I think that this testimony is a gift from God precisely for our times so extraordinary. I believe that this testimony will help many people of good will, who are not afraid to confront themselves with the truth, so as to convert themselves to the Truth and begin to live a new and fulfilling life with Jesus Christ. For us Catholics it will help us to make a good examination of conscience and then a good sacramental confession.

The "Holy Hour" made in the presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament is a devotion in which we call to mind the Life, Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord. The authenticity of the scriptures is also revealed in the fact that the prophecies come true in due time. The Bible is unique. Holy Bible is the best book in the world. There is no book in the world like it. It covers a period of 1600 years (1500 B.C. to A.D. 100) and was written by 40 different men from all walks of life. Some were kings, priests, and prophets; others were simple fishermen and farmers. Some were highly educated, like Moses and the apostle Paul; others had no formal education.


More than 3000 times, these men claimed what they wrote came directly from God (Moses: Ex.17:14; 24:4; 34:27. Paul: 1 Cor. 14:37. Peter: 2 Pet. 1:16-21. John: 1 Jn. 4:6). As utterly impossible as these facts seem, the record speaks for itself.

The Warning

The Warning was predicted by Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Garabandal, where she prophesied three great events that were to come: The Warning, The Miracle, and The Punishment. The last would occur only if the world would still refuse to repent after the first two made God's mind plain to all. We have just experienced the first; the second and third are still in the future. The Miracle will come within a year of The Warning, so that we will be prepared to receive the grace of The Miracle.


The Warning was like the conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle, who was penetrated by the same light we have recently endured. He was on the Damascus road, journeying to that town to persecute the newly converted Christian Jews who lived there. In a glorious vision it was revealed to him that he was assailing not only the members of the Church, but Jesus Himself, the very Lord of heaven and earth! The blinding light of the Risen Christ convicted him of sin. Paul heeded the warning Jesus had given him; he repented and became his faithful follower, and left his former life behind.

I am doing this because I am raising up a tidal wave of Christians to wash over the shore of badness that has taken control of this world, so lovingly created by My ather. This process will cleanse your world, making it safe once again for God’s children. I am going to bring you knowledge, wisdom, and love. I am going to introduce you to the divine to make your hearts burn like furnaces of divine love. You will be given the opportunity to work with Me. Children, come with Me now.
